“Aquí Seguimos” honors the journey of a Mexican immigrant. Showing their strength and humanity by presenting migration not as a singular event but as an ongoing process of transformation, survival, and hope. Drawing from traditional Mexican social dance forms and contemporary movement vocabulary, the piece explores the emotional and physical transitions experienced before, during, and after migration. The body becomes a vessel for translating cultural identity, labor, and loss, while responding to new landscapes and social realities.
